A few weeks ago we photographed the interiors of the newly renovated City Holiday Resort & Spa Kiev. The shooting was done with a very limited budget, and the photos were needed for yesterday. The main task is to place the photos on the Booking service, and use them as a background on the hotel’s full-screen site.

Photo shoot at City Holiday Resort & Spa in Kiev

The hotel was photographed at a time when the hotel was just starting to operate in test mode. This means that the hotel is “almost” ready. Definitely for the customer, this is a big plus, as photographing hotel interiors does not distract or irritate guests. For example, not all guests calmly react to a large bulky camera on a tripod, and for some reason they think that this equipment is there to catch them at the most awkward moment. Photographing a hotel that is not fully operational also has certain disadvantages. Specifically in this case, the budget for this photo shoot did not reflect the room styling work, which meant we had to shoot everything as is. Renting the hotel as is means that the bed and table are taken off. It’s not interesting at all, not to me, and not to those who will choose a hotel on the Booking.com We were very lucky that one of the hotel managers previously had experience in shooting and we were able to find a common language with her, which meant her full cooperation in creating the residential entourage as they say live, so that the photos turned out good and can bring profit to the client.
