A couple of days ago I had the opportunity to do a very cool photo shoot of a professional cyclist. The organizer of this event was one of the best Ukrainian advertising agencies Royal Advertising in the face of creative director Andrew Franchuk. I had the task to take one (1) frame for the presentation of the upcoming cycling race in Ukraine

The daily life of almost every modern Some people are connected with sports in one way or another: someone regularly engages in fitness; Some people struggle with excess weight and physical inactivity in the gym; some people cycle kilometers on a day off; some spend a lot of time in the gym while their children or grandchildren pursue their (or their parents’) dream of becoming champions; some people do not miss the opportunity to be in a crowd of soccer fans to yell (approvingly or indignantly) while their favorite team is playing. Sports provide an opportunity to have fun, to feel stronger, more agile, slimmer, stronger in spirit.

But for some people sport has become the main thing in life. They understand and accept the idea expressed by the French writer Maurice Decobre: “Sports are entertainment until the seventh sweat. We see guys like that mostly on TV, when we are told about their achievements and victories in competitions.

For the photo shoot, we chose an authentic location with a wide asphalt surface, and most importantly – the absence of cars. This move allowed us to not simulate the ride, as they often do in a closed studio, but to shoot everything for real, at high speed, with a real wind, not faked, but natural muscle tension. All in all, the choice of location was cool and set the sports-military mood of the whole photo shoot!

I’m impressed with peoplewho love what they do. In a word, I probably – “professionalophile.” So any shot of professionals at work, be it a cyclist, a baker, or a doctor, gives me great pleasure. I think that the people I Photographing ethey feel it too, and that’s why, on such mutual love, such cool shots are born. It’s nice to know that my photos will contribute to such a large-scale international event as Tour of Ukraine 2017

 

It took us about four hours of time and complete dedication the entire team. After all, catch a bicycle, going at high speed, into the light traps we have set up – not at all easy task.! But thanks to our experience and diligence, we got through it with flying colors! Of course, we could not have achieved this result if our champion Vitalik did not give his all. Vitalik not only had to ride at top speed, jumping on a road bike, but also balancing on the spot. And this, as it turned out, is not an easy task.

 

What Vitalik had to is not easy, because. occasionallyhe fact that we had to repeat the same movement dozens of times does not mean that we were doing it with a finger up our nose. I felt a great responsibility: mnot trusted by the the best professionals in the business, and I just couldn’t afford to screw it up.

In spite of (or because of) the difficulties, all present and participating was fun and interesting. I personally had a lot of fun from work. But not only that: I was offered Ride the best professional road bike COLNAGO! The bike weighs that much, how much a fragile girl can lift with her little finger. It’s also fascinating to see that technological progress has come to the point that the gears on the bike, no longer change levers, as we are all used to it: to switch the desired speed, you have to All you have to do is push a button and the servomotors do everything for you.
